I selected a high shutterspeed on this one. It was a quirky shot in that I didnt realise when I took the photograph, I'd captured the grain blowing in the wind. It adds greatly to the shot. I only spotted the grain when I came to edit the photo later that day. It was very windy and having asked the farmer if it was Ok to snap some photos, my main concern was keeping the wheat / barley out of places it shouldn't be going. I think it adds bags of atmosphere to the photograph, also helped by the low viewpoint and raises it beyond many other "combine harvester" type photos. Meets my "ETOILE" criteria on several fronts. Eat your heart out Curtis, only joking!

My equipment used in the above photo. Please note the sturdy tripod and low viewpoint that contributed to the photo.
TOP TIP Always follow your gut instinct. You never know, just out of the blue you might photograph something quirky or out of the ordinary. Go for it!
TOP TIP Select a different view-point. The low angle in this shot adds to the success of the photograph. Think about how many photos are taken at eye-level -boring!
