What is a JPEG file? JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group. The JPEG file type is one of the world's most widely used image file formats that we all know and love. A JPG or JPEG file can be compressed, JPEGs are most helpful in storing and sharing digital images.

I won't say too much about the JPG or JPEG file, I think It's under-rated to an extent with many user shooting in RAW and other formats. Please remember that most, if not all editing functions are available in editing JPG's that are available when editing a RAW file. To save time, many Pro-Photographers shoot in JPG because JPG's are so good now and need no or little tweaking. They are also big enough for most print requirements up to about 10 x 8" or 12 x 10" and more than good enough for social media.

TOP TIP JPEG V RAW, both have advantages and dis-advantages, google other sites for the pros 'n' cons. Shoot both, flag or rename your best RAW images, delete the rest. Because RAW allows about 2 stops or even more in editing, whereas JPEG allows much less, it's a no brainer. If you edit a lot, best to shoot RAW. End of story!

I forgot to select a slow shutter-speed to induce movement or 'motion-blur' into the scene so I introduced some movement to the shot using software blur. It did the trick, producing the effect I was after. A bit of motion-blur adds to the effect of the photograph. A purely static shot would be a bit boring.
