IDEA

Weve all hit the brick wall at some point, no inspiration, no ideas. The good thing is it rarely lasts. From going out and taking no photos, we suddenly see outstanding lighting or a very good object / subject. Yahoo!

TOP TIP Look at magazines, other folks work, web-sites etc., anything that might give you inspirstion or ideas, we all should do this anyway. Keep an 'ideas' folder and put a rough drawing of any 'ideas' inside. As well as being a good source of inspiration and ideas, it acts as a 'driver' for your photography, even if you can't get out for poor weather.

An idea from my folder. Someone had used the 'pop' feature on a photograph, isolating the main subject matter in colour, the rest - monochrome. I just adapted this to produce a photo of my own. Taken on a wee compact whilst on holiday. I saw this photo, marched up to the front of the bus and snapped away through the glass of the front window. Confidence, being prepared, hard work: they all account for an unusual photo.
