IBIS - IN-BODY IMAGE STABILISATION
I have never owned a camera with IBIS, maybe one of my compact cameras, but not a DSLR. The nearest I used was a Canon 70-200 F2.8 L USM lens with giros built in to offer a degree of image stabilisation. This was my most used lens and was very sharp at all apertures. IBIS is a relatively new technology and because the body is stabilised, the benefits apply to any lens attached to the camera body. Photography is so much easier now through adapting technology. Google IBIS for a detailed explanation.
TOP TIP Always use a tripod and cable release. Yes its extra work but it pays dividends, especially with low shutter speeds.
