PHOTOGRAPHY EXPOSED

CHROMATIC ABERRATION
I just had to include this when chromatic aberration was used by a young photographer in an artistic sense to boost the effect of a photo, most unusual. I was judging young photographers at a school, and giving a general talk on photography.
Chromatic Aberration is often referred to as fringing and may appear as a light colour banding around your subject. I used to have this happen more in the old days (70's, 80's etc.) when technology wasn't so good and lens manufacture wasn't quite so sophisticated. Again, I'm not going to cover Chromatic Aberration (CA) in much depth, there's plenty of information online or in books. The effects of CA can be removed with some edit programs, but it's fairly rare today or occurs badly enough to spoil a photograph. A good tip when doing intricate editing is to enlarge the object to 400% and scroll as required.
